In celebration of our 45^th wedding anniversary, our kids surprised us with a luxury holiday in Greece! My husband and I are so excited—we’d never been ANYWHERE aside from Disneyland when the kids were growing up. This will be such a treat for Harold and me!While on our luxury, Holiday in Greece, we’ll enjoy a two-day tour of Athens, and then it’s on to Nafplion, Olympia, Delphi; and then the magical islands of Mykonos and Santorini.  I asked my daughter how in the world, she and her siblings were able to afford to send us on a fabulous14-day holiday in Greece. Holidays in Greece

Imagine spending the Greek Orthodox Easter holiday in Greece! The climate is lovely during that time of year—neither too hot nor too cold–as Easter always falls in the spring. Mother Nature is at her finest; therefore, it’s the ideal time to experience the realGreece during its most significant holiday.I wonder which city would be best to celebrate the Easter holidays in Greece. After much conversation and consideration, the destination of my Greek Orthodox Easter Holidays in Greece had been decided. I would spend nine glorious days of touring Athens, Crete and Rhodes. Fabulous! The next leg of my Easter Holidays in Greece found me on the island of Crete. The Orthodox Easter observance was at times festive and sometimes solemn; Good Friday is an example. There is something quite remarkable about this day. In Heraklion on Good Friday evening, The Procession of the Epitaphs in the city’s center is indeed moving. The fragrant aroma of rosewater permeates the streets, the melancholy rhythmic beat of the drums from Heraklion’s band, and the citizens dressed in traditional the men and women dressed in traditional attire each conspired to create an unforgettable Easter holiday in Greece. It was also a truly different way of experiencing Easter itself, and Crete.

Greece Holiday Tour

As a reward for finally graduating from college, my parents presented me with the gift of a Greece Holiday. We, meaning our family of four, were all going together on the dream vacation of a lifetime! This would be the first time we’d vacationed as a family in years, which would make our holiday tour of Greece extra-special. Half the fun was in the planning. We each got to pick an island in the Ionian group that we’d most like to see. My mom chose Athens because we’d be landing there first anyway, and she’d always wanted to visit the Propylea, the Parthenon and the Acropolis. My dad chose Kefalonia due to its quiet, rustic ambience, and my brother chose Corfu most likely because he could spell it. I picked Zakynthos. To me, the name itself has a certain mystique, and the beaches look spectacular. He told my dad about this online travel agency that specializes in Greece holiday tours and Greek Island-Hopping excursions. So, my mom went online and made arrangements. It was so simple! The travel experts inquired as to what we wanted to see and do, how much time we could spend and our budget constraints. Bingo! A Greece Holiday in the North Aegean

After 20 miserable years of marriage, my husband and I have, at long last, called it quits. Well actually, he called it quits, but if he hadn’t –I would have. My attorney beat up his attorney in court, so to celebrate; I’ve decided to take myself on a well-deserved and luxurious holiday in Greece. My ex was too cheap to take me anywhere, so now I plan to make up for his lack of imagination and motivation by treating myself!If I don’t, who will?

The most unusual experience of my Greece Holiday occurred at the monastery in the midpoint of Chios. As a reminder of a late 1800’s massacre, and among a charming area of buildings, were the skulls of martyred monks—displayed for all to see.

The island of Lesvos was and absolute paradise; the way one might picture the Garden of Eden.
